NW Queens Food Day

Our summer 2014 season kicks off at NW Queens Food Day in Socrates Sculpture Park. Children aged 4–11 are invited to recreate the West African Kple Kple mask—historically associated with harvest celebrations—out of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Free and open to the public, NW Queens Food Day was organized by Queens Action Council (QuAC), a group of community residents and advocates, working together for a more just and equitable local food system.
